Cape Town: The Northern suburbs and beyond

Head North! To Stellenbosch or Franschoek. There are wine trams in these towns. I did the wine tram in Franschoek. Basically, book a month prior online, if you are looking to go on a weekend. Upon arrival park your car for the day and hop on the tram and visit the wine farms along your chosen list from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Tip: Pre-book lunch at the restaurants along the way as they get full, as many local people book weekend meals at these wineries on weekends.

Tip: Book accommodation in the town, so that you don’t have to drive too far after drinking all day.

Tip: Drink a lot of water, and don’t drink at every farm. It is dangerous. Eat a meal at one of the stops.

Tip: When on the long road, look for farm stall along the side of the road, to stop off, grab a bit and relax before carrying on to your next destinations. It is recommended that drivers rest every one and a half to two hours.
